We are writing with a reminder to mark your calendar to attend the Town/Village Harrison Planning Board Meeting on this Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 7:30 PM.
There are agenda items of concern including two that PEPA has been actively arguing against:
Please note, since the items appear on the agenda as Committee Reports it is possible the Board will not allow public comment regarding them.
However, if you are concerned about the Trinity Church application, it is important to attend since it appears, based upon language stated in the meeting agenda, the Planning Board may adopt the FEIS for the (Trinity) application. Once the Findings are adopted by the Planning Board pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) each member will have to take a stand and place their vote publically in front of the audience if they are either “For” (approve) or “Against” (deny) the Project. That vote could take place on Tuesday.
Also it appears, based upon language stated in the meeting agenda, the Planning Board will vote on the 103-105 Corporate Park Drive application and may adopt the FEIS as complete. If accepted as complete, what happens next for Corp. Park Drive?
Next, the FEIS will be examined by the Planning Board in preparation of a “findings statement” (positive or negative) and a vote. As part of this process the Board will schedule a hearing and consider public comments. If accepted as complete we the application will begin another review process. The Town will share/post the FEIS for public review on the Town’s website.
Further, PEPA’s consultants will thoroughly review the FEIS. Throughout this application process, PEPA has engaged the services of Legal Counsel (Harris Beach) and an Environmental Planning firm (Louis Berger Group) to analyze the application, and the DEIS for both substantive and procedural deficiencies.
Likewise, PEPA will review the FEIS (once it is made public) with equal diligence and prepare comments that will be presented and submitted at the public hearing. New letters will be posted to our website when available. Previous comments from PEPA’s consultants can be found under Key Links.
