On Tuesday, April 22, the town of Harrison’s Planning Board approved the Manhattanville College application to construct a Major League Soccer Training facility on the campus.
The Purchase Environmental Protective Association is extremely disappointed with the 4-2 vote of the Planning Board to allow a professional soccer team to displace Manhattanville's college athletic facilities for its own commercial benefit. In doing so without an appropriate review, the Planning Board has ignored significant community and environmental concerns and failed to follow the law that prohibits such use. PEPA is considering all remedies available to protect the community.
